Iris:

Lens:

Ciliary Muscle:

- Working:zonular fibers connect the ciliary muscle to the lens The lens becomes more spherical for near vision when the ciliary muscle contracts, which relaxes the tension on zonular fibers. Upon relaxation, the zonular fibers pull the shape of the lens into a more flatter distanced vision.
Cornea:
- Function: The cornea focuses most of the light that enters in the eye.
- Working:With its curved and clear surface of thick epithelial cells, the cornea can bend (refract) light entering through your pupil. This allows rays to be directed towards an almost perfectly shaped lens. This first focusing is essential to produce a sharp image on the retina. Additionally, the cornea serves as a barrier to keep out dust, bacteria, and other dangerous materials out of our eyes.
Vitreous and Aqueous Fluid:
- Function: Aqueous humor feeds the eye and keeps intraocular pressure, whereas vitreous humor acts as a framework of an eyeball.
- Working:
- Aqueous Humor: This based clear fluid is produced in the ciliary body and circulates from behind the lens into the anterior chamber or parts between cornea. This feeds the avascular cornea and lens,quality,and eye pressure necessary to maintain the shape of the fovea.

Light-sensitive tissues in the eye detect light and convert it into electrical signals that your brain can interpret. Responding to light in the retina are photoreceptor cells, which make up part of the retinal structure. These tissues allow us to see, translate light into a language our brain can comprehend and thereby enabling visual perception of images, colors and movement.
The retina and the optic nerve are two of these.
Retina:

- Working: The rods and cones found in the retina are photoreceptor cells. Brain:
- Function: The optic nerve sends visual impulses to the brain, which processes and interprets them.
- Working: The visual signal is sent to the visual cortex in your brain (in specific occipital lobe) where these signals are translated and pieced together resulting in an image that you can perceive. It deals with specifics such as color, shape movement and depth, thus enabling us to sense and react to the visual entities of our environment.
3. Support Tissues
Function and Working:

These tissues such as the sclera and conjunctiva help keep its form, protect from any exterior injury plus accommodates it to be well moistened with nutrition. The uvea, which are other blood supply and support tissues, provide nutritional components to the eye that keep it functioning normally.
The eye has a variety of support tissues,including fatty tissue. These three are the uvea, conjunctiva, and sclera.
1.Sclera:
- Function: the sclera creates structure in and protects the eye.
- Working: Tough outer fibrous coating of the human eye (the “white” part) It stabilizes the form of eye, cushion internal structures from injury and offers attachment points with other organs like extraocular muscles which control movement into the latter.
2. Conjunctiva:
- Function: Its function is to lubricate the surface of the eyes and defend against infections.
- Working: The conjunctiva is a thin, transparent layer that covers the inner surface of the eyelids and the sclera. Also, it secretes mucus and tears to moisten the conjunctiva covering like dust or micro-organisms cannot penetrate inside easily which in turn also reduce chances of infection blockage.
3. Uvea:
- Function: The uvea vasculature (blood vessel structures that supply blood to the eye) also includes the structures responsible for controlling and focusing on light entering our eyes.
- Working: Uvea is made up of three things.
- Iris: Enables to adjust the size of pupil, controlling dose of incoming light.
- Ciliary body: which produces aqueous humor and contains the ciliary muscle that controls lens shape
- Choroid: a layer of blood vessels between the sclera and retina, supplying oxygen and nutrients to retinal pigment epithelium.
